Frequently Asked Questions

TEQ-Secure is a lightweight, easy-to-use safety pendant that can issue an emergency request to multiple people at the touch of a button via SMS. Equipped with global positioning and mobile network technology, it can instantly pinpoint a person’s location and enable immediate voice contact via a built-in speakerphone.

TEQ-Secure comes with a built-in 4G SIM card which incurs a monthly charge of $20.00 per device which covers all data usage and access to our online monitoring and configuration software.

Carers and family members are provided with a login and password which will allow access to the SOFIHUB portal where all features such as live location and location history can be monitored, and settings can be configured.

SOFIHUB portal can be accessed through various devices including computers, laptops, tablets, and iOS, and Android smartphone apps.

Yes, Secure can receive calls as a normal mobile phone would, allowing for instant hands-free two-way voice communication.

If an alert is triggered via the SOS button or a fall is detected the TEQ-Secure will send an SMS alert to a nominated carer or family member. This SMS will include a hotlink to the last known location and then follow this up swiftly with a two-way voice call. If the first alert goes unattended then the TEQ-Secure will send an alert to the second contact and will continue to do so until the alert is reset on the SOFIHUB portal.
